Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl Reveals He Has a Secret Daughter from an Affair
Foo Fighters’ lead singer Dave Grohl has disclosed that he has fathered a child outside his marriage. In a statement shared on Instagram earlier today, Grohl revealed the news:
“I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter born outside my marriage,” he wrote. “I intend to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and children and am working hard to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness.”
He also expressed gratitude for understanding towards all the children involved as they move forward.
Grohl has been married to model and TV producer Jordyn Blum since 2003. The couple met at the Sunset Marquis Whiskey Bar in 2001. In a 2007 ELLE interview, Grohl reminisced about their early relationship, noting that he initially wasn’t ready for a serious commitment but later reconnected with her.
They married on August 2, 2003, and have three daughters together: Violet Maye, 18, Harper Willow, 15, and Ophelia Saint, 10. Violet Maye is currently touring with the Foo Fighters.
The couple was recently seen together at the Wimbledon tennis tournament in July 2024, sitting in the Royal Box with other celebrities.
Before marrying Blum, Grohl was wed to Jennifer Leigh Youngblood from 1994 to 1997. Their marriage ended in divorce, with infidelity cited as one of the reasons for their split, according to a 2007 profile in The Guardian.
Grohl is a prominent figure in rock music, having drummed for Nirvana and founded Foo Fighters, where he serves as the lead singer, guitarist, and principal songwriter. Recently, he and the band took legal action against former President Donald Trump for using their music without permission during his re-election campaign.
